Sonora High senior presents student follies
Matt Howard, a senior at Sonora High School, is putting on a talent show next week as his senior project. The show will include a variety of acts: a contortionist, a dance crew, a poem recitation, musicians and much more. Other senior projects will be showcased during the follies, including Tony Cota’s “Poreotics Tribute,” which is a dance crew, and a harp performance by Cody Lee. Pataflafla and Jazz@8 also will be featured. Guest performances will include the Brothers Strong, a local folk band and alumni of Sonora High, and Josh Pfeiffer, a professional jazz artist and Summerville alumni. The event will be April 19 at 7 p.m., with the doors opening at 6:30. Ticket prices are $5 general, $3 for students and seniors. The event is a fundraiser for Sonora High’s Golden Regiment Band Boosters. This group is responsible for raising funds for uniforms, trips, and equipment for the Golden Regiment, of which Matt is drum major. For more information on the follies, contact Matt at (209) 770-1022 or email@example.com.
