‘Wild’ nights of dance

Davis High dancers are “Born to be Wild!” – at least they are tonight and Friday. About 50 Spartans, joined on stage by Modesto Junior College students and Davis grads, will perform at 7 p.m. both days in the Modesto High School auditorium, 18 H St. Cost is $6 at the door. Bollywood, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, salsa and contemporary styles will bounce, stomp and glide over the stage. All proceeds will benefit the Davis dance program.

Youth art month show

A Youth Art Month show for high school students in Stanislaus County and a few schools north will be held March 21-26 at the Modesto Junior College East Campus Art Gallery, 435 College Ave. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays; and 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays. An awards reception will be held March 26 from 5 to 7 p.m., with the awards ceremony at 6. The show will include about 350 pieces of artwork from 20 to 25 schools. Johansen FFA barbecue

The Johansen High School FFA is having its annual drive-through barbecue on March 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. The menu includes a linguica sandwich, beans and salad. Cost is $8; call (209) 814-770 for tickets. The barbecue is in the school parking lot, 641 Norseman Drive.
