UNIFORM: My “gi” uniform is my favorite outfit because it represents a traditional formal wear of practicing martial arts; it reminds me of why I love practicing martial arts. It’s really comfortable to work out in and I love teaching in it. Teaching at my age and being a woman is very hard work and a great privilege, and my “gi” reminds me of that hard work so that’s why my “gi” is my favorite outfit. (Marty Bicek / The Modesto Bee)
