Mid-Valley Engineering is seeking internship applicants.
The firm began an internship/scholarship program this summer by awarding each of its two interns a $1,000 college scholarship along with a returning internship for next summer. The interns worked directly with the company's engineering teams, drafting, studying plot plans and learning programs such as AutoCAD.
The company's most recent interns, Matt Zahr and Kevin Smith, were the first to be part of the program. Zahr is a freshman at the University of California at Berkeley, and Smith is a junior at California State University, Fresno. The purpose of this program is to begin recruiting local scholars and encourage them to return to the valley every summer.
