Teens and preteens can learn how to handle emergencies while caring for younger children at the safe-sitter class presented by Oak Valley Hospital on Nov. 10.
The class will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Oak Valley Care Center education room, 275 S. Oak Ave., at the corner of West H Street in Oakdale.
The safe-sitter program is a medically oriented class that teaches basic lifesaving techniques, safety precautions, how and when to summon help, plus tips on basic child care. Cost is $35.
