MODESTO GARDEN CLUB

This month's Modesto Garden Club meeting will feature award-winning flower arranger Nancy Colvin. Her demonstration will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

The snack-and-learn session will focus on the care of orchids, hosted by Al Rios. It goes from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m.

The meetings are held at the Senior Center, 211 Bodem Ave., Modesto. Guests are welcome for $10.

PATTERSON GARDEN CLUB

"What's Bugging You?" Come to this month's Patterson Garden Club meeting March 26 to find out. The speaker will be Anne Schellman from the Stanislaus County Agricultural Extension Office, who will talk about bugs. Do you know which bugs are good for our gardens and which bugs are not? Do you know what to do when you find a pest in your garden? Anne knows. Bring your insect questions and insects from your garden, in a closed container, for Anne to identify. The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. at the Las Palmas Mobile Home Estates Club House, 250 E. Las Palmas, Patterson. Refreshments will be served and guests are welcome. STOCKTON CACTUS AND SUCCULENT SOCIETY

This month's Stockton Cactus and Succulent Society meeting will be held March 26 at 7 p.m. at the San Joaquin County Building, 2007 Transworld Drive, Stockton. Refreshments will be served. Guests are welcome.

The program this month features J.D. Wikert of Lodi, who will discuss the various genera, care and cultivation of dudleyas. Wikert has a master's degree in fisheries management and a bachelor's degree in aquatic biology. He cares for a substantial collection of succulent plants.
