The 39th annual Patterson Apricot Fiesta continues today and Sunday. Festivities begin with hot-air balloon launches at 6 a.m. both days. There's a parade today at 10 a.m. and a fireworks display this evening at dusk. Celebrate and protect a beautiful river by attending the first "Green on the Stream Honoring the Tuolumne River through Music Education and Activism" today at Tuolumne River Regional Park in Modesto. The free family event includes fly-fishing demonstrations, a nature walk among oak trees, wildlife exhibitions for children, a climbing wall, face painting and clowns.
