Alex James Tregembo of Boy Scout Troop 85 in Los Banos has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouting.
For his Eagle project, Alex elected to refurbish the preschool playground at the United Methodist Church where he is a member. Alex led nearly 20 people in completion of the project, which included clearing the play area, repairing fencing, running sprinkler lines and a timer, building a new play box for wood chips, adding sod and putting in a completely new play structure chosen specifically with nursery-age children in mind.
Alex serves as an assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 58 in Los Banos, helping lead the troop where his younger brother Nicholas, a Star-ranked scout, is a member.

In his free time, Alex enjoys drawing, painting, building models and a variety of camping and hiking activities.
Following graduation, Alex plans to obtain a degree in biological sciences, looking toward a career in research or with the National Park Service.
Alex is the son of Karla and Michael Charlson of Los Banos and Jim and Kathy Tregembo of San Jose.
