Midengine flatbed was love at first E-sight for Oakdale man

Car: 1934 Ford flatbed midengine

What sparked the interest: I was looking for a hot rod online and saw this unique truck with a midengine. I used to have an old truck and sold it and regretted that decision ... so now I have another old truck to play with.

Road to ownership: Flew back to Adams, Tenn., to see the truck and it was love at first sight. Made an offer and had the truck transported home. I am having it upholstered and have made some modifications.

Under the hood: Chevy 350

Body of work: It has been chopped 3 inches, the engine was moved to behind the cab, custom exhaust and the firewall extended.

A favorite memory: I put a Christmas tree on the bed of the truck at Christmas. I have people pull me over and want to take pictures of it. Two ladies got next to the truck with their Santa hats on and took pictures. I saw one person pass me, pull over, jump out of their car and take a picture as I drove by.
