The cheerleaders of Modesto Christian High School are off and running in their defense of the 2009 JAMZ National Championship.

At the Regional JAMZ Competition last weekend at the University of Pacific in Stockton, the Crusaders cheerleading squad was named grand champion. The group’s next competition is the JAMZ Nationals in Las Vegas in February.

The team includes: Alyssa Guenzi, Emily Allen, Cheyenne Costa, Jacklyn Overweg, Taylor Strasser, Brianna Schamp, Kendall Schroen, Carlie Williams, Danielle Williamson, Taylor Toledo, Cassidy McMillen and Morgan McKnight.
