Four high school students recently received $500 scholarships from the Oak Valley Hospital Volunteers.
The students are 2009 graduates Alyssa Salas and Carolyn Rowley from Oakdale High School, Rian O'Campo from Waterford High School and Michael Barrett from Escalon High School.
Salas was accepted to four universities and plans to become a nurse or physician assistant. Rowley was accepted to the University of California at Davis and plans to become a nurse or pharmacist. O'Campo will study nursing at California State University, Stanislaus, and plans to become a nurse. Barrett will attend California State University, Chico, to study pre-pharmacy.
