last updated: October 25, 2007 01:07:22 AM

The Modesto High School theater department will present "Pride and Prejudice" Friday and Saturday and

Nov. 2-4 in their school auditorium, First and H Streets.

Shows are at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Nov. 4. Tickets are $7 for adults and $6 for seniors, children under 10 and students. The box office will open one hour before curtain and the theater will open 30 minutes before curtain.

The script is adapted by Jon Jory, former artistic director of the Actor's Theatre of Louisville, who took much of the dialogue from the classic Jane Austen novel. "Pride and Prejudice" is the most popular of Austen's humorously romantic tales.
