Eighteen and Under: Teen issues, by Michelle Vecchio I'm covered in mosquito bites, my hands are rough and calloused, and I'm beginning to develop an amazing flip flop tan on my feet. Yes, these are just a few of the joys I've experienced so far working at a summer camp. It's hard to believe it's been almost a month since I came up to camp. Leaving five days after graduation, I had just enough time to write all my “thank you” cards and pack my bags before heading down to camp to spend ten weeks guarding large bodies of water and pushing kids out of tall trees. (Don't worry, I'll explain this shortly.) The whole experience has been kind of a blur to say the least.
