Merced is looking for groups to operate the McNamara Park Community Center and provide youth programming and other activities. Groups can use the building at no cost; the city will pay for utilities. In order to qualify, group applicants must have 501(c)(3) status, provide $1 million in insurance and be at least six months old. A joint application by two or more groups is acceptable. Application deadline is noon, July 31. For more information, visit www. cityofmerced.org or the Parks and Recreation Department office on the first floor of the Merced Civic Center, 678 W. 18th St.
