Four decorated Merced homes and the Vista Ranch and Cellars will open their doors this season for the Merced Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals’ 21st Annual Christmas Home Tour, which is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 8.
The tour includes a house with 22 trees, and each home on the tour is unique in its decor and has points of special interest.
At Vista Ranch and Cellars, a luncheon featuring a selection of soups, warm breads and desserts is to be made available for $8. Reservations are required by Dec. 5.
At the Vista Ranch, visitors can enjoy the festive beauty of three buildings, the wine tasting room, bridal quarters and event center where the lunch, gift baskets and raffle prizes will be located, according to an SPCA news release.
Never miss a local story.
The tour includes caroling at the piano with pianist Darrel Lingenfelter, gift baskets and a raffle of many valuable items such as a diamond necklace, a bicycle, Christmas decor, small appliances and an electronic tablet. Money from the event will benefit animals by purchasing supplies and funding veterinary costs.
The Christmas Home Tour is an important fundraiser for the Merced SPCA, a “no kill” adoption center located at 1021 E. Childs Ave.
Tickets may be purchased at Maciel & Co. in the Merced Mall, Christina’s Fine clothing in the Galleria at 2852 G St., Wash ‘N’ Wag at 2521 N Santa Fe Ave., Rabobank at 2000 M St., A Blooming Affair Floral 463 W Main St. and Expressions of Love Floral, 1486 Broadway Ave. in Atwater.
