Merced County Sheriff’s Department boasts more than 160 marijuana raids since January

Since the beginning of the year, the Merced County Sheriff’s Department’s STAR team has raided more than 160 locations, seized several million of dollars in marijuana plants, and confiscated more than 40 illegal firearms and $65,000 in cash, including assault rifles and other automatic weapons, the Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday.
