One dead, one arrested in suspected DUI crash near Mendota

A 20-year-old Mendota woman died early Tuesday in a suspected drunken-driving accident south of Mendota, the California Highway Patrol reported. The victim’s name was not immediately released pending notification of her family. “Alcohol is suspected to have been a contributing factor in this collision,” the CHP said in a statement.
