BMX, go-karts for kids
The Atwater Police Athletic League has free BMX Ride Nights through October from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month at Veterans Park. Ages 6 to 17 are invited. Women’s Bible study

Time for square dancing
Square dancing classes will start at 7 p.m. Monday at Stratford Evans Hall, 15th and B streets. Ages 12 to 90 and older welcome. The first three classes are free, then $4 for adults and $2 for children under 18. Call (209) 722-5315.
Living a Healthy Life
Mercy Medical Center will hold Living a Healthy Life, a six-week workshop for those with any chronic condition. Workshops are Tuesdays starting Sept. 17 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Mercy Outpatient Center-Dominican Campus, 2700 M St., second floor.
Fall prevention program
The Merced County Human Services Agency on Aging will hold free fall prevention classes for seniors with a kick-off event Wednesday at 9 a.m. at 851 W. 23rd St. Classes will start Sept. 23 in Merced, Atwater, Gustine, Livingston, Los Banos and Dos Palos.
