The California Endowment and Community Foundation said one of its teams will be working through November to assist in the early funding process for Building Healthy Communities.
A general meeting will be held Wednesday Oct. 20, at both 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at 747 West Childs Ave (Golden Valley Health Centers classroom) and on Thursday, Oct. 21, at 5:30 p.m. in Planada at El Centro (9167 Standford Avenue). You may attend either of these meetings to understand the general process for how letters of intent or proposal ideas can be submitted to The California Endowment for Building Healthy Communities.
The meeting will explain clearly the only way for submitting to the endowment for funding and the timeline at this point in the project. If you see a change strategy that you or a group you work with are interested, then please come to this meeting to understand how any person or organization can be considered for funding. There will also be a free opportunity Saturday at 632 W. 13th St. in the Clark Room from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. to learn more at Advocating For Change: Understanding how to affect healthy policy and persudaing a decision maker to act for better health.
