Organizers said they will hold a public information meeting about the Merced-to-Fresno section of the proposed high-speed rail train in Merced and Madera.
The meeting in Merced will be Tuesday, Oct. 5, from 4-7 p.m. at the Merced Community Senior Center, 755 West 15th Street. Among the issues discussed with be the Environmental Impact Report that’s being prepared for the proposed 800-mile high-speed train system.
The Merced meeting will include a workshop from 5:30-6 p.m. to review station design and planning information.
In Madera the meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 28, from 4-7 p.m. at Madera County Fairgrounds Home Arts Building, 1850 West Cleveland Ave.
Each meeting will be held in an open house format.
