Who's bought your vote?
This year is different. Republicans voted no on the Disclose Act, so big corporations -- even foreign-controlled ones -- are now spending millions to influence American elections. Worst of all, corporations don't even have to reveal who's actually paying for the ads. So what to do? Research the candidates and who funds them, research the issues, and vote early -- by mail.
The last day to register to vote is Oct. 18, the last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot from your county elections office is Oct. 26. As soon as you get your ballot, you can vote and not think about all the foolish corporate ads that will try to scare you into voting their way.
