The Central Valley Tea Party said it would host Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, "the most courageous, outspoken critic of the liberal left and the so-called 'black leadership in America today,'" at a Tea Party Oct. 2, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Fresno Fairgrounds.
In a news release, organizers said Peterson is "often referred to as the 'antidote to Jesse Jackson', and is behind a national boycott of the NAACP, believing the organization to be nothing more than a tool of the "elite, socialist" elements of the Democratic Party." He has appeared on Fox News and CNN.
Admission is free, and there is a $5 parking charge. The fairgrounds are at 4520 E Kings Canyon Road. Popup tents will only be allowed on the perimeter of the seating area
Other speakers include Sam Paredes, Jim Franklin, Kirk Ellis, Serafin Quintanar, Ryan Sorba, Deanne Martin-Soares, Brad Roltgen and John Pero.
