A scheduled Tuesday sentencing hearing for convicted embezzler Kimberly Sziraki has been postponed until Friday in Merced County Superior Court.
The hearing was postponed by Judge Ronald Hansen because the defense requested additional information in the case.
Sziraki, 45, pleaded no contest in June to stealing $1.6 million from a Merced nut processing plant. As part of the plea agreement with prosecutors from the Merced County District Attorney's Office, Sziraki will be sentenced to between five and eight years in prison. She remains free on bail.
