The Merced County Agriculture Commissioner's office has released the crop progress and condition report for the week ending Sept. 12.
Weed control spraying continues to be done on small grain and rice fields. The seventh cutting of alfalfa hay continues. Rye, sweet and silage corn harvests continue, and new alfalfa planting continues.
Almond, wine grape, fig and peach harvests continue. Raisin harvest has begun, and prune harvest is complete.
Bell pepper, tomato, onion, cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, sweet potato and parsley harvests continue.

Pasture and rangeland are in good condition for the season, and supplemental livestock feeding of hay and nutrients continues.
