The city of Merced said traffic enforcement in the neighborhoods of the G Street Underpass project, the growing market for sweet potato fries and high school football are among the features this week on Community Conversations, a public service program on KYOS.
The show focuses on community, education and government news affecting residents throughout Merced County. It airs on KYOS, 1480 AM, at 7 p.m. Saturday and at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Other Community Conversations set to air this week include why not to call City Hall with your Comcast bill, an innovative program for new students at UC Merced that teaches them acceptable behavior and a different kind of church that appeals to bikers.
The show is hosted by Nathan Quevedo, the public information officer for the Merced County Office of Education and engineered by Dave Luna of KYOS. The show is produced by MCOE, the City of Merced Public Information Office, Roger Wood and UC Merced, in association with the County of Merced.
