On Friday at 9:34 p.m., Merced police investigated a truck burning near Kiwanis Kiddieland in the park. The interior of the truck, a 1978 GMC 2 1/2 ton, was on fire. The Merced City Fire Department extinguished the flames in the cab before the rest of the truck could catch fire.
