Merced police have released a photograph of a suspect wanted for allegedly stabbing a man outside a grocery store Friday.
Abraham Roberto Ayon, 28, is accused of stabbing the 29-year-old victim, who is recovering from his injuries, said Lt. Andre Matthews.
According to witnesses, the victim was stabbed around 5 p.m. after he approached two men who were in the middle of an argument in the parking lot of the Grocery Outlet in the 1100 block of West Main Street.
One of the men stabbed the victim in the face and chest before fleeing on foot toward R Street.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding Ayon, who is believed to have family in the Winton area.
