I think the idea of a fragrance-free policy at Stan State is ridiculous ("Campus without scents?" Oct. 2, Page B-1). Some of the students are just too sensitive to some perfumes and colognes. That shouldn't stop the rest of the students from wearing what they want.
I would rather smell cologne than the scent of someone's sweaty body. People wear cologne, perfume and deodorant to hide their body odors.
I don't think it is right to stop someone from trying to smell good. They could avoid the smell if they really wanted to.
I do agree that people shouldn't wear as much as they do, but that doesn't mean that they should ban cologne and perfume.
