These days when I go to school, I see trash everywhere, from the classrooms to the hallways. In a classroom, I take a random seat and settle in, but what I barely put my hand on the edge of the desk, I feel a bump right underneath it. I realized that it was used gum. It's really disgusting, touching gum from another person, and it's obviously not sanitary.
In the hallways, I see gum on the cement and pieces of food on the ground. I hate the feeling of stepping on something other than the floor, especially on food or gum, because it gives me a weird feeling on my foot and I don't like to scrape things off my shoe. Of course, it's the janitors' job to clean up the trash, but they have other things to do than cleaning up the trash that the students left behind.
Students who have any item in their hands shouldn't be lazy, but go to the nearest trash can and dispose of it. By doing this, we can help make the school cleaner and trash-free.
Never miss a local story.
