I like how some people are becoming so conscious about the environment that whenever they "find" copper laying around, they decide to recycle it. Now copper isn't just laying around but it is used in many things such as wires, pipes and many other mechanical parts. It seems that anyone with an unusually large amount of copper used criminals means to procure it. Lately there are a lot of reports about copper theft. I can see how construction companies can have leftover materials that need recycling. But when someone walks into the recycling center with $100 worth of copper, it should set off some suspicion. We should get rid of copper recycling for individuals. You can't find copper that easily. It's not like it's a soda can or newspaper; you have to look for it. Without the inspiration of cash reward there would be no reason for criminals to vandalize public areas therefore this would reduce crime.
