Why does one have to be 21 in order to drink alcohol? I am not saying that there should not be an age limit at all, because that would just be ridiculous, but why not 18? After all, we are considered adults and it seems hypocritical to claim someone as an adult and yet still try to control what sort of beverages we drink.
In my opinion, 18 is a legitimate age to allow people to consume alcohol. Switzerland allows 16-year-olds to drink! This whole 21 business is a slap in the face to my country and me because it basically says that America's teens cannot handle alcohol, and I know I can. Alcohol is not a crime. It's a drink, so let our thirst be quenched!
