Last year's award went to Randy and Brad Lange, who grow wine grapes near Lodi. The 2007 award will be presented at the Dec. 3 annual meeting of the California Farm Bureau Federation. This group is co-sponsoring the award with the Sand County Foundation, based in Wisconsin, and Sustainable Conservation, based in San Francisco. The nomination deadline is June 29.
