Woke up late? No problem! I have mastered the skill of waking up late and still looking presentable by the time I have to leave for work.
I’m not sure if I should be proud of this or not, but I am. After being in the beauty industry for a few years now I have discovered a few great ways to pull yourself together in a short amount of time. Sometimes it is necessary to get a little extra sleep. Now you can with a few simple tips.
First things first, make concealer your new best friend. Concealer is great for covering up bags under your eyes as well as any blemishes on your face. In a matter of seconds you can look like you slept for hours by applying a dab of concealer.
There are some days when I like to wear less make up and this is a great alternative to wearing foundation. It is really important to let your skin rest at least one day a week.
Next, make sure you have good mascara on hand. I personally love Maybelline’s Colossal Volume. You can find it in any drugstore and at a very reasonable price. The reason I recommend mascara is because it gives definition to your eyes.
If you don’t have time to apply eye shadow, your eyes will look tired and will make it look like you just woke up. Mascara is great at making your eyes look dramatic without having to put in a lot of effort and time. A great addition to mascara is eye liner. That will help your eyes stand out even more and it takes a few seconds to apply.
The last key cosmetic you need is lip gloss. Lip gloss adds some color to your lips and has a way of dressing up your face. I prefer a gloss with a little color and shimmer. There is just something about lip gloss that makes a person feel better about their appearance. I always tend to feel sassy when I wear it.
As far as hair goes, I am a big supporter of a messy bun. Long gone are the days where a messy bun looks like you just got out of bed. Messy buns are a great fix to frizzy hair, or hair that won’t style. New York Fashion Week showed us that a messy bun can be very classy and give your hair some personality!
I almost always wear a headband with my messy bun to add some sparkle to my hairstyle. I get a ton of compliments on it and it is such a simple look to create!
Now you have it, the perfect way to wake up late and still look great!
Be sure to head over to my blog the whole month of May for some awesome giveaways! I have partnered with some of the best brands in the fashion and beauty industry to celebrate my birthday all month long with all of you! Hope you have a fantastic day!
