Family members looking for a Turlock-area man who did not return from working in a field Tuesday found the man dead there. The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is treating the case as a homicide.
According to a news release, deputies were called to the 2400 block of Walnut Road at 8:08 p.m.
The man, whose name was not released, had been plowing fields in the area on a tractor. When he did not return home or contact family members after work, they became concerned, officials said.
Family members drove to the Walnut Road field to check on him and found him dead.
Officials are not releasing how the man died or whether they have any suspects in the case.
