Funeral services have been scheduled for the three men killed in a car crash in Sacramento last weekend.

A memorial service for Robert and Michael Anderson is scheduled for Monday at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St. in Merced. Private services will begin at 1 p.m. for close friends and family, according to mother Lorraine Anderson, but the public is welcome to attend the funeral procession at 2:30 p.m.

Robert, an Elk Grove resident, was a sergeant in the Marines who served two tours in Afghanistan. Michael, an Atwater resident, was a specialist in the Army National Guard who returned from Afghanistan in July.

Anderson said the procession will include full military honors with a gun salute and presentation of flags to the family. A flyover is scheduled during the service using the helicopter flown by Michael Anderson in Afghanistan.

The Anderson brothers were two of three people killed in a solo vehicle crash in the Sacramento area on Saturday. The California Highway Patrol reported that the vehicle was traveling between 80 and 100 mph, and they suspect that alcohol was a factor. Driver Sean Leon-Guerrero also was killed in the crash.

Leon-Guerrero’s services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home. A viewing will be held there from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday. The public is welcome to attend the service, according to Leon-Guerrero’s family.
