Merced Theatre will celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Art Kamangar Center with a special on Pick-A-Brick and Take-A-Seat programs now through Dec. 1. Engraved bricks will be installed in the sidewalk on Martin Luther King Way next to the theater, and auditorium seats will have an individualized brass nameplate on the seat arm. Buhach Farmer’s Market is open every Wednesday from 6a.m. to 3p.m. at 4814 Clover Ave., Atwater. Take the Buhach exit off Highway 99. Lots of vendors on site.

Jam session every Wednesday night from 9p.m.to 1:30a.m. at the Star Club, 1331 W. Main St., Merced. There is no cover charge. You must be at least 21 years old to enter.

At R-Bar, 1603 V St., Merced hosts 8-ball competition every Wednesday night. Signups at 6p.m.; game starts at 7. Twenty players only, $5 buy-in.
