Turlock’s wayward goat may be headed home.

Animal control officials said they had heard from a man who believed the goat found wandering around the police station Monday morning.

Art Velasquez said the goat belonged to his neighbor. “It’s usually in the backyard, but it seems to have found an escape route,” Velasquez said. The two were headed to animal control to pick the goat up today.

Animal control staff has kept the goat in the yard along with several other goats after picking it up at a church across the street from the Turlock Police Department.
