TURLOCK NOW: Kaepernicking is all wet

Local artist creates Kaepernick-inspired water wall.

TURLOCK - Kaepernicking is officially all wet.

Turlock native and San Francisco 49er fan T. Michael Alcordo has created a massive 7-foot by 7-foot glass wall dedicated to the team and its star Colin Kaepernick. The 63-year-old retired interior designer began creating custom water walls a year and a half ago.

His latest creation features Kaepernick giving his signature bicep kiss along with the words "NFC Champs" and a San Francsico logo. The creation took about six weeks to make and weighs over 400 pounds. Alcordo’s inspiration was simple.

“I’m a 49er fan and he’s a local hero and I was born and raised here,” he said.

The water wall will be on display indefinitely at Paul’s Glass Co., 240 S. First in Turlock. And if you want one of your very own, Alcordo can create your very own. But be prepared to pay out, his custom pieces, created under his design name Kimo Enterprises, can run anywhere from $6,000 to $10,000.

He has had three orders for similar Kaepernick water features so far. For more information call (209) 485-5554.
