The St. James Concert Series presents an afternoon of romantic music from opera singers who have performed internationally.
The concert will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, the St. James Episcopal Church (Red Church) in Sonora. Performing will be singers Roy Stevens and Annalisa Winberg and pianist Ron Brickman. The program will feature music from opera, operetta, Broadway, classical and Hollywood shows. Winberg and Brickman have been married since 1987 and performed professionally in 23 countries.
The rest of the St. James Concert Series will include The Messiah Sing-Along, Dec. 20; pianist Jason Sia, Feb. 21; Trio 180, April 24; and Golden Bough, May 22.

Calaveras Craft Faire canceled
The Calaveras County Garden Club’s Garden and Craft Faire has been canceled because of the Butte fire. The event had been set for Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds in Angels Camp.
