The Modesto Junior College Civic Engagement Project will host a screening of the film “Bully” at 7 p.m. Thursday in Forum 110 on MJC’s east campus, 435 College Ave.
The free event is part of the CEP Fall Film and Lecture Series. Campus parking is available for $1 in student parking lots.
The documentary “Bully” follows the lives of five students who face bullying on a daily basis.
The film suggests that the cruelty suffered by these children is part of a widespread problem that includes and affects all, whether victims, perpetrators, or silent bystanders. Following the film will be guest speakers Ruben Sanchez, M.A., mental health clinician, and Jenny Solis, assistant principal at Gregori High School.
Solis will also be joined by colleagues from Gregori High who are familiar with the topic of bullying. For more on MJC’s Civic Engagement Project or the Fall Film and Lecture Series, e-mail Jason Wohlstadter at firstname.lastname@example.org.
