6 Things To Do in and around Modesto

The Lograr Community Institute presents a Cumbia Dance Party with performers Candelaria and La Gente. Candelaria is a six-piece, female-fronted world dance band with musicians from Mexico, Canada, Colombia, Puerto Rico and the United States. The group was featured on National Public Radio’s “Alt Latino.” The opening act of the show is La Gente, led by singer/songwriter Rafael Bustamante Sarria. The band blends reggae, cumbia, hip-hop, salsa, rock and world music. The concert is a benefit for Lograr, which is dedicated to empowering Central Valley families to win lasting improvements in health, education and economic development.
