HOME BASE: Modesto/Turlock
PLAYERS: Patrick Coleman, lead vocals/guitar; Jim Stehle, drums/vocals; Jarrod Winter bass guitar/vocals; and Charlie Stehle, lead guitar.
SOUNDS LIKE: The band's sound mixes British rock with alternative. Its influences include The Who, The Kinks, Pixies, Stone Roses and Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd.
BACKSTORY: The Ivy Lines formed in 2003; its current lineup has been together since October 2007. Jim Stehle and Coleman met through a flier posted at Guitar Center. Winter was found through Craigslist.com, and Jim brought his brother, Charlie, on to round out the lineup. The current lineup first performed in November and has logged 20 shows to date.

NEW MUSIC: The band is finishing its CD "Cool as Stone" at Bass Head Production with Phil Short. The album is scheduled for release in mid-June.
NEXT GIG: Show 8 p.m. Saturday at the Fat Cat Music House & Lounge, opening for The Mother Hips. Tickets are $10. Other dates June 21 at the Fat Cat, June 28 at the Modesto Queen Bean and Battered Beaver.
