• Describe the services provided by your agency: Family Promise of Greater Modesto provides shelter to families who are temporarily homeless through a network of 11 congregations and more than 500 volunteers who provide a hot dinner meal, a private sleeping space for each family and fellowship. Through this network, we provide a safe and friendly environment that supports families as they get back on their feet. Our case manager connects with the families daily at our day center to support them in meeting their goal of finding work and housing. We work collaboratively with a variety of organizations in the community to help the families reach their goals.

• How many individuals and/or families do you assist per month? We assist 26 to 30 families per year.

• How would a $10 donation be used to help your clients?

1. Oral hygiene supplies

2. Toiletries

3. Laundry soap

4. Feminine hygiene supplies

• How about a $25 donation?

1. Shoes for parents and children who need them

2. Toys and activities for children at the day center

3. Diapers for infants

• Or a $50 donation?

1. Purchase clothing for interviews

2. Fuel for clients to get to appointments or to pick up children from school

• How would your agency use a donation of $50 or $100 for your own program costs?

1. Purchase fuel for our van, which transports guests between the hosting congregation and our day center

2. Bus passes for our guests to get to appointments

3. Cleaning supplies for a family that has found a new apartment or home to live in

4. Ink for printing our applications and résumés
