Police officers Thursday evening were looking for a 3-foot bronze frog statue stolen from an Angels Camp home.
The statue was stolen from a home in the 600 block of Live Oak Avenue.
Angels Camp police said the resident returned home Tuesday after a nine-day vacation and found the frog statue was gone. The victim told police the statue was worth more than $500. Police said whoever stole the frog went to great lengths to take it.
The frog was about 4 feet wide and secured with a chain in the home's yard.
Investigators asked anyone with information about the theft to call Angels Camp police at 736-2567.
