Wife of Merced sheriff's sergeant allegedly embezzles $832k

Kimberly Sziraki, 44, was taken into custody by Merced County District Attorney’s Office investigators, after a nine-month investigation into accusations that she embezzled the funds from Central Valley Processing Acquisition Corp., 4315 East Childs Ave., according to Pat Lunney, chief investigator for the DA’s office. Killer in '88 Patterson case waives parole hearing

A Patterson man convicted of shooting his wife during an argument almost 21 years ago waived his right to a parole hearing and will stay in prison at least five more years, the district attorney's office announced Wednesday.
