Confession: Up until last week, I didn't know the difference between sweet potatoes and yams.
I'm not a sandwich fan. Too much bread and not enough filling. Sure, there are exceptions. Like the chicken Caesar sandwich from Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa. Chicken, bacon, creamy dressing and more creamy dressing. No skimping there.
Bee food writer Kerry McCray has had her triumphant moments in the kitchen. Making Christmas soup was not one of them. Herein she explains how cutting a few corners on the recipe did her in.
