I had dinner at Carver's Restaurant in Roseville during the holidays and had the wonderful tomato jalapeño soup. Would it be possible to get this recipe or one similar?

• La Bou Caesar, anyone?: Does anyone have the recipe for Caesar dressing served at La Bou, or one close to it? I have tried a lot of Italian restaurants' dressings and no one can touch La Bou's. Thanks.

• Ham and hammer: My mother used to make a ham that was the juiciest I have ever had. She used to wrap it in a dough with a small hole on the top to vent it. When it was done, the dough was so hard, my dad broke it up with a small hammer. The dough was not edible, so it wasn't a Wellington-type recipe. Any ideas are appreciated.
