I've been living in the past the past couple of weeks. No, I haven't bought avocado green appliances for my kitchen or grown my hair out to its 1970s super-long length or started parting it down the middle.
The Oscar nominations came out Tuesday morning, with nine films vying for best picture this year.
Surprised, but then again, not so much.
That's the reaction to the decision by the folks who run the Golden Globes to invite acerbic comedian Ricky Gervais back into their ceremonial home to host their awards show again this year.Gervais, you might recall, hosted the ceremonies last January, spewing venom at pretty much everyone associated with Tinseltown, from Hollywood royalty like Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp to the very group that invited him in for the hosting gig, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.More Columnists: Pat Clark Stories
