The Modesto Ski Club keys its activities around skiing, of course, but it offers more than just fun in the snow. "We're a club of all seasons," says club president Debra Clover, and she is armed with evidence.
One inescapable fact governs everything each winter in the Sierra — snow is the boss. When it falls, traffic increases. When it doesn't, the pace slows.
