KENNEDY MEADOWS — The fire that destroyed historic Kennedy Meadows Resort’s main lodge early Monday also destroyed all of its records, including old and new customer contact information and reservations for the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

In a statement issued on behalf of Kennedy’s owner Matt Bloom and his family, the resort is closed for the 2007 season, but that the rebuilding process and planning for 2008 is under way.

Management asks that its customers through the world mail their contact information and photo copies of their deposit receipts to Kennedy Meadows, P.O. Box 4010, Sonora, Ca 95370.

The Blooms said they also want to thank the community for its outpouring of support. Dodge Ridge Ski Area sent people and equipment. And the Dardanelles Resort immediately provided food for the fire crews at the scene. The resort is located 52 miles east of Sonora on Highway 108. More information can be found on the resort’s web site, www.kennedymeadows.com.
